Ik componeer Reflections / I compose Reflections

Mijn artistieke bio
De mens is een creatief wezen. Die creativiteit heeft hij als een gave ontvangen, om nieuwe dingen te scheppen, net zoals God dat deed en nog steeds doet in en om ons heen. Zo zijn wij beelddrager van de Schepper van hemel en aarde, met Liefde voor Zijn schepping. Beelddrager, als weerspiegeling van Zijn creativiteit.

Wij scheppen nieuwe realiteiten in meerdere dimensies, door middel van beelden, klanken en woorden. Dat zijn reflecties van wat er in ons leeft.
De mooiste reflectie is die van de liefde tussen man en vrouw, maar ook die is een weerspiegeling van de Liefde van God voor Zijn schepping, waarin Hij de mens als kroon op Zijn scheppingswerk bestempelde, die bedoeld was om Hem ook weer liefde terug te geven.

Mijn kunstuitingen spreken van die wederzijdse liefde tussen God en mens en tussen mensen onderling. Dat beeld van die drie-eenheid: God-man-vrouw, is mijn inspiratiebron tijdens veel van mijn werken.

Daarom noem ik mijn stukken: Reflecties, weerspiegelingen, Reflections.
Veel van mijn titels zijn daardoor op meerdere manieren te interpreteren, wat ik verder overlaat aan de luisteraar zelf.
In de interactie tussen God, man en vrouw zijn er altijd twee partijen die wederzijds geven en ontvangen. Wederzijdse bewondering, respect, aanmoediging, verlangen, liefde, scheppingskracht.
‘I want to be with You’, ‘Forever close to You’ zijn van die titels, die duidelijk aangeven hoe belangrijk die ander is en hoe krachtig en wederzijds dat verlangen is.

Reflecties, Reflections, Reflexionen noem ik ze dus. J.S.Bach noemde ze Inventionen, Inventions, Bedenksels van het muzikale brein.

Verder weerspiegelen mijn composities vaak mijn beleving en bewondering van de schepping, natuur en kosmos, waarin ik de grootheid van de Schepper bejubel.

Het is mijn nadrukkelijke wens dat door het delen van mijn werk met anderen, de zegen ervan zich mag vermenigvuldigen.

My artistic bio
Man is a creative being. He has received that creativity as a gift, to create new things, just as God did and still does in and around us. In this way we are image bearers of the Creator of heaven and earth, with Love for His creation. Image carrier, as a reflection of His creativity.

We create new realities in multiple dimensions, through images, sounds and words. Those are reflections of what lives inside of us.
The most beautiful reflection is that of the love between man and woman, but that too is a reflection of the Love of God for His creation, in which He designated man as the crown on His work of creation, which was intended to also give love back to Him.

My artistic expressions speak of that mutual love between God and man and between people themselves. That image of that trinity: God-man-woman, is my source of inspiration during many of my works.

That’s why I call my pieces: ‘reflecties’, reflections.
Many of my titles can therefore be interpreted in several ways, which I leave up to the listener himself.
In the interaction between God, man and woman, there are always two parties giving and receiving mutually. Mutual admiration, respect, encouragement, desire, love, creative power.
‘I want to be with You’, ‘Forever close to You’ are titles, which clearly show how important the other one is and how powerful and mutual that desire can be.

So, “Reflecties, Reflections, Reflexionen”, I call them, in Dutch, English and German.
J.S.Bach called them “Inventies, Inventions, Inventionen” of the musical brain.

Furthermore, my compositions often reflect my experience and admiration of creation, nature and cosmos, with which I sing of the greatness of the Creator.

It is my emphatic wish that by sharing my work with others, its blessing may multiply.
